HSA/FSA Eligibility & Information
At Ellicott City Women’s Health, we strive to make our specialized medical services accessible. Many of our treatments may be considered a Qualified Medical Expense by insurance providers and tax-advantaged savings accounts.
Using Your HSA/FSA Funds
You may use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) debit card to pay for qualifying medical services. However, because eligibility is determined by your specific plan administrator and the IRS, we follow a strict clinical workflow to ensure you have the necessary documentation for your records.
Our 3-Step Compliance Workflow
To ensure your treatment meets the criteria for a medical expense, we utilize the following process:
- Medical Consultation Your journey begins with a comprehensive medical consultation. During this visit, our licensed provider evaluates your full health history and clinical needs.
- Medical Determination The provider will determine if the proposed treatment is medically necessary to treat or prevent a specific medical condition rather than being purely cosmetic.
- Documentation Once a medical need is established, the clinic provides you with an itemized receipt (Superbill) containing standard ICD-10 and CPT codes, along with a formal Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN).
Please Note: We require a medical consultation to determine eligibility and will provide a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) for your records.
