Expert hair restoration and hair-loss evaluation and treatments in Maryland
As hair restoration technology evolves, innovative non-surgical treatments are changing how we combat thinning hair and hair loss. At the forefront of these advancements is the injection of natural growth factors—a potent series of microinjections designed to stimulate, strengthen, and restore miniaturized hair follicles.
Our hair restoration expert, Lindsey DiTanna, Board-certified Nurse Practitioner, believes these injectable therapies hold tremendous potential for well-qualified patients experiencing both genetic and non-hereditary hair loss. She is enthusiastic about offering these quick, minimally invasive treatments to help both male and female patients successfully prevent hair loss and regrow their hair.

what to expect
PRP is not a one-and-done miracle fix; it requires a structured treatment plan to achieve and maintain optimal results.
- Initial Protocol: Most patients require an initial round of 3 to 4 treatments, spaced roughly 4 to 6 weeks apart.
- Timeline for Results: Hair growth takes time. Initial changes, such as decreased shedding, are usually noticed around 3 months. True thickening and measurable regrowth typically become visible between 6 to 12 months.
- Maintenance: Because genetic hair loss is ongoing, you will need maintenance injections 1 to 2 times a year to keep the hair follicles active and thriving.

The Step-by-Step Procedure
The entire treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes and follows a very specific three-step medical process:
step 1: Blood collection
A small amount of blood (typically 30ml to 60ml) is drawn from your arm, exactly like a routine medical blood test.
step 2: Centrifugatio
The blood vial is placed into a machine called a centrifuge. This machine spins at high speeds for about 10 minutes to separate the blood into distinct layers: red blood cells, platelet-poor plasma, and the highly concentrated platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
SteP 3: scalp injection
The isolated PRP is extracted into a syringe. Using a fine needle, the provider administers a series of precise microinjections across the thinning areas of the scalp, targeting the exact depth where the hair roots live.
